In England all 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours a week of free high quality early education. If you would like your child to attend Stead Lane Primary School Nursery, the term following their third birthday, you are required to fill in a Nursery Placement Application Form which can be requested by emailing admin@steadlane.northumberland.sch.uk or by visiting the school office. Parents and carers are welcome to visit the Nursery to meet staff before submitting their application form, if you would like to do so please contact us on 01670 823171 to arrange an appointment. At Stead Lane Nursery we encourage independence, exploration and creativity through a curriculum which is based around play, individual interests and, above all, fun! We have a ‘story of the week’ to help focus our activities and develop a love for stories.

We place a strong emphasis on social skills, speech and language and physical development by providing a wide range of challenging experiences which support these areas. Outdoor learning is also a big part of our education so we can find out more about the outside world around us.

Our Nursery teacher is Mrs. Gray & our teaching assistants are Miss Gray & Mrs. Henderson.
