Welcome to Year 6
Mr Morris, Mrs Wong, Miss Greener and Miss Gray want to welcome you to Year 6. We hope you enjoy browsing our page and finding out about what we have been up to in our lessons.
We have a very busy, challenging and exciting year ahead of us, with lots of great work to do, interesting topics to learn about and activities to take part in – including the SATs tests in May…(more to come about this later).
In Year 6, we have an ever growing understanding of our own learning. We are sure that over the year, you will enjoy seeing what we do in our lessons and the contributions that Year 6 make to our school website and class page – so let’s get busy!

For those Year 6 pupils moving on in September staff from Emblematic will be available at Bedlington Academy to measure your child and assist you with the ordering process from 5.00 – 7.00pm on Wednesday 12th June 2019.
This year our science week will focus around the big question, how can we save our oceans? We will be looking at a range of issues and by the end of the week we are hoping to inspire our pupils to be more eco-aware and want to do their bit to help the environment....
Bedlington Academy is hosting a Moving Up session from 6.00 – 7.00pm on Wednesday 5th June. All Year 6 pupils and parents/carers are invited to attend.
All Year 6 pupils should have brought home a letter regarding the treat day next Friday 17th May. To allow your child to take part, this must be completed and returned along with the SV5 form as soon as possible. Thank you. Letter to Parents SV5
Don’t forget during SATs week from Monday 13th until Friday 17th May 2019 our Year 6 pupils may come along to Breakfast Club free of charge. Breakfast Club opens at 8.00am each morning and breakfast is served until 8.30am. Children may still arrive after 8.30am but...
