Welcome to Nursery
In England all 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours a week of free high quality early education. If you would like your child to attend Stead Lane Primary School Nursery, the term following their third birthday, you are required to fill in a Nursery Placement Application Form which can be requested by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by visiting the school office. Parents and carers are welcome to visit the Nursery to meet staff before submitting their application form, if you would like to do so please contact us on 01670 823171 to arrange an appointment. At Stead Lane Nursery we encourage independence, exploration and creativity through a curriculum which is based around play, individual interests and, above all, fun!
We place a strong emphasis on social skills, speech and language and physical development and provide a wide range of challenging experiences which support these areas.
Next week is Sports Week here at Stead Lane. All pupils are to come to school every day dressed in sports clothes and we have lots of different activities lined up throughout the week for each class. ...read more

pupils will be taking part in science workshops and activities. We need lots and lots of junk for modelling during that week – boxes, kitchen roll tubes, plastic bottles, yoghurt pots etc. plus some classes need copper coins, carrier bags and old jeans and t-shirts....read more
