Thank you to all the parents who came to the headteacher welcome meeting. It was brilliant to share where our school is and the new developments we have going on in school this year. As I mentioned in the meeting, our staff work incredibly hard to make sure we do everything to help our children achieve their full academic potential but we also want to make sure that our children are prepared for the wider world and that they learn how to develop positive relationships with one another.
We also discussed how it would be brilliant to have a school parent teacher and friends association (PTFA). This would involve working together to put on fundraising events for the children and accessing grants available. You wouldn’t need any experience, everyone would be welcome. You wouldn’t need to sign up to a long term commitment; even one hour of your time could help to make an event brilliant. If you would be willing to help form part of the PTFA, please call our school office on 01670 823171 to leave your contact details. Mrs Rowley is leading an informal meeting on Monday 18th September at 1.30 in school.
